Wessex Regional Care is committed to encouraging and supporting all its employees to improve their skills and gain qualifications.
Employees are paid for attending training approved by the company.
All employees complete an induction programme during their three month probation period and on successful completion there is a pay rise.
Wessex Regional Care currently provide all new employees with over 90 hours training not including the time for any individual NVQ training programmes.
Courses include: Food Hygiene, Fire Awareness, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Safeguarding Awareness, Mental Capacity, Challenging Behaviour, Fire Safety, NVQ2 and 3 Health & Social Care, Management of Violence, Learning Disability, First Aid. Wessex Regional Care is a Registered Social Care provider for adults with a learning disability, our services specialise at working with individuals who’s lifestyles challenge service delivery; individuals who are on the Autistic spectrum or have a diagnoses of Aspergers and associated emotional, social and communication needs. Full time, Part Time and Bank positions are available for Support Workers within the residential and domiciliary sectors of Wessex Regional Care.
Starting pay level is based on relevant experience and qualifications held by an individual.
There is also the opportunity to gain promotion to Senior Support Worker level and various managerial opportunities as vacancies arise within the company.
